As a single mom, my bedroom was always the last place that I would even try to make improvements.... It was filled with old cast off furniture, paint colors I didn't really love, and nothing inspirational. Often my bedroom was a place I avoided because it just didn't make me happy.
After my daughter was in college, I saw a picture of a rescued iron bed and my project began! I found my headboard on Craigslist for a song, and refinished it and that was only the beginning. I refinished a desk, an armoire, my little chest and over time, slowly selected photos and decorative objects that I love or that have special meaning to me.
This is the result. Now, I never want to leave my bedroom!
